CDE welcomes new PhD student, new PhD student visitor and New PhD graduate!

Date

CDE member, Alex Norman has made an excellent defence of his PhD. Dr Norman was awarded the PhD subject to amendments. Our congratulations from the whole of the CDE community to Alex.

Again, the Centre welcomes a new PhD visitor for this coming year, Omomayowa Abati, from Nigeria. Omomayowa, a PhD student at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, does his PhD research on young people and public engagement.

Also starting his PhD is Alastair Morgan who recently finished his MA in Social Sciences (Interdisciplinary). His PhD is on public engagement with children, particularly those with special education needs, in the UK parliament. This is a PhD funded by a White Rose Doctoral Training Programme Collaborative PhD studentship, so Alastair will be developing his PhD in collaboration with the UK Parliament’s education service, and being co-supervised by Dr Paula Clarke, in the Education School.
